 School Uniform

Students are expected and encouraged to take a pride in their general appearance. Details of the uniform are available in a brochure from the school office.

The uniform is available from Postie+ at Bishopdale Mall and Northwood Supa Centre, Susan Ross in Rutland St, and Mainland Uniforms 511 Wairakei Road.

The Cotswold School Parents Association runs a second hand uniform sale once a term. This is advertised in the school newsletter.

For safety reasons students are not permitted to wear necklaces (unless for genuine cultural reasons), bracelets, or dangly earrings. Watches, Medic Alert bracelets, and stud earrings are permitted. Nailpolish, body transfers and stickers are not encouraged. For health and safety reasons long hair must be tied back at school, and at all school activities.

If a student breaches the dress code, they are given a reminder about correct school uniform. Ongoing infringements result in a letter home to parents.

Hats
Royal blue wide brimmed or bucket hats are compulsory in terms one and four.

Footwear
Footwear must be safe and suitable for school activities. Closed-in sneakers or leather shoes, or sandals with adequate heel and toe support, are suitable for school. Slip-ons, scuffs, jandals, and other unsuitable footwear is not permitted.

Where possible, choose shoes with non marking soles.

Socks must be grey, navy, or white.

Optional uniform items
Students may wear a dark blue polar fleece vest or jacket.
Navy "sports type" pants may be worn in winter in place of the royal blue trackpants

Sports Uniform
The sports uniform is optional but we recommend navy shorts with a white or royal blue polo shirt.
